200 hundred thousand gather in Fallujah protesting Maliki’s policies

In Fallujah, 200 thousand people gathered for demonstrations to protest Nouri Maliki’s policies, Al Jazeera reported. Numerous delegations from across Iraq took part in this protest and for the first a large number of people from Iraq’s southern Diwaniya Province – being a Shiite dominated area – participated in this demonstration.
Five foreign TV channels were banned from broadcasting this demonstration, being told they must get permission from Baghdad Operations Command.
Hundreds of large vehicles transported demonstrators from Ramadi to ‘Protest Square’ in the international highway, stretching from Baghdad west to the Jordanian border.
Maliki’s forces stationed east of Fallujah prevented the entrance of reporters and special vehicles for live television broadcasting to the city, in an effort to prevent coverage of this widespread demonstration.
Maliki’s repressive forces also blocked roads upon thousands of Iraqis seeking to join the demonstration.
