On Dec. 17, in an interview with the French T.V. channel 2 the U.S. Secretary of States, Condoleezza Rice replying to a question on the NIE intelligence report said considering the diplomatic activities of six power countries was concentrated on stopping the uranium enrichment by Iran, no one is denying the fact that Iran is continuing its uranium enrichment. It is an activity that could end with production of the material needed for atomic bomb. Therefore the Iranian regime’s nuclear program remains a threat. This is a program United Nations hs twice asked Iran to stop it.
Asked whether after the intelligence report, there is any reason to change the policy, Ms. Rice replied the NIE report strengthens the present policy. She added the continuity of uranium enrichment by Iran will cause more resolutions by the Security Council against the Iranian regime and more international isolations.
