
The website belonging to Quds Force chief Qassem Suleimani admitted that two other Revolutionary Guards officers have been killed by the Free Syrian Army. The names of these two individuals are Ghasem Gharib, deputy commander of the commando battalion of Brigade 1 of the ‘Neinawa Corps’ stationed in Iran’s Golestan Province. Gharib was killed in the Talmur Heights in Syria and was named the third IRGC member killed from Golestan Province.
Before him Gholam-ali Tavali of the 60th Armored Brigade and Ehsan Haji Hatam-lu of 45th Brigade were killed in clashes near Aleppo. Another individual by the name of Haj Karim Ghavabesh was killed in Damascus. He took part in the 8-year long Iran-Iraq War and is the 11th IRGC member from Iran’s Khuzestan Province killed in Syria.
