Friends and supporters of political prisoner Mohammad Ali Taheri issued a statement after learning he entered a coma due to this dry hunger strike and a plot by the Iranian regime to have him murdered:
Iran and Iranians will not remain silent in the face of Mohammad Ali Taheri’s coma.
Taheri and his students will respect the law and to this day they have remained silent, appeasing the officials of the Islamic republic.
However, they are preventing his transfer to a hospital in order to him killed in prison.
Rest assured that we are very aware and very familiar with all your plots.
Any threat against the life of Mohammad Ali Taheri is a threat against all of us. We have now risen in his defense, and wherever in Iran we may be, and wherever in the world, hand in hand we will reveal this cruelty.
