According to al-Sharqiya TV, Susan al-Sa’ad, Iraqi MP of the National Alliance slate admitted to the Iraqi Prime Ministry Office’s involvement in the escaping of 12 terrorists from a prison in Basra Province.
“At 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14th, orders were issued to the unit protecting the prisons – affiliated to the Prime Ministry – to transfer its forces to Karbala and Baghdad to provide protection for pilgrims,” she said. “And this is the same day that 12 prisoners escaped from one of the prisons.”
“These prisoners were to be transferred before a week to another prison for prosecution,” she added. “However, this transfer did not take place for unknown reasons.”
It is worth noting that news medias reported these 12 prisoners escaping to Iran.
