Aftab website (Iranian state-run), July 2, 2008 -An informed official in Jordan’s Foreign Ministry said: On Tuesday afternoon, Jordan’s Foreign Ministry decided to expel Iran’s deputy Ambassador to Amman in response to the expulsion of Ahmad al-Meflah, Jordan’s Ambassador to Tehran, from Jordan.
The expulsion of Jordan’s Ambassador from Iran was done in protest to the presence of the Jordanian delegation in the gathering that was organized earlier this week by the terrorist PMOI. Deputy Spokesman of the Jordanian Parliament, six other members of parliament and also 25 Jordanian politicians and reporters attended in this gathering.
According to Aftab International News Agency, quoting the Russian News Agency Novosti, this informed official claimed that Jordanian Foreign Ministry has explained to Iran’s Deputy Ambassador in Amman that the participation of members of parliament in this gathering had no effect on Jordan’s official position! He said: “Their participation in the gathering was not official”.
