Layegh Kurdpour, a Sunni political prisoner from the town of Javanrud near Kermanshah in western Iran, went on hunger strike and sewed his lips together 9 days ago in Kermanshah’s Diesel Abad Prison.
He has been on hunger strike protesting inhumane pressures imposed in prisons and officials opposing his transfer to the prison in the city of Pave near where his family lives.
