In a statement addressed to the Shiites in southern Iraq, the Lebanon’s Islamic Arabic Council headed by Ayatollah Muhammad Ali al-Husseini, called the Iranian regime the worst enemy and declared: We, the Lebanon’s Islamic Arabic Council, are standing with you in a common front against the Iranian regime and are ready to sacrifice our lives and properties and will not allow that the brutal regime of Iran dominates Iraq.

The statement added: ” All Shiites in southern Iraq have united univocally against the mullahs’ regime that has nothing for Iraqi Shiites except for evil. It is a regime that seeks to annex Iraq to Iran to improve its own situation in order to make aggression against other countries in later stages,

” We in the Lebanon’s Islamic Arabic Council, are standing with the hero Shiite youth in south of Iraq. We are not against the people of Iran that is suffering from this regime more than you do; we are with the resistance and the risen people of Iran.
