More than 120 Iraqi political and tribal personalities and currents and nongovernmental organizations, by releasing statements, messages and letters, congratulated delisting the PMOI from the EU terrorist list as a great victory for the Iranian and Iraqi people and all freedom-loving people of the world; they asked the Iraqi government to guarantee the Ashraf residents’ legal rights, protection and security and to stand against the clerical regime’s pressures and conspiracies.
The statements and letters partly read: “We Iraqis regard this victory as our victory and all freedom-lovers and justice defenders across the world; this victory of justice over appeasement policy with Tehran’s rulers gladdened hearts of upstanding people. Undoubtedly, delisting PMOI was a heavy blow to Iran’s rulers.”
The statements and letters emphasized: “By removal of the terrorist tag against the PMOI, no more excuse is left for pressures on Ashraf residents and creation of limitations on them; we ask the Iraqi government to guarantee the legal rights of the PMOI members who are political refugees and enjoy support of international laws and the Fourth Ge3neva Convention.”
