Pentagon’s press secretary Geoff Morrell underlined, “Washington has already prepared the plan to attack Iranian regime, although either President Bush or other military officials believe in diplomatic and economic sanctions at this stage. Defense Secretary Robert Gates believes in diplomacy; but should the diplomacy succeed, it must be accompanied with economic sanctions. In his meeting with Chinese, Gates said increasing pressure and approving economic sanctions are needed. Gates repeated the same view in Europe. He said military attack is the last option.”

Asked whether there are further Iranian regime’s agents in the custody of the US forces, Morrell answered: More terrorists from the Qods force have been arrested in northern Iraq who are still in our custody; Farhadi is one of them.
