The Iranian regime has sent billions to Syrian banks in support of the Assad regime, the Los Angeles Times reported. Iraq has recently signed a $10 billion oil pipeline contract with the Syrian regime. Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki expressed his sympathy with Damascus by warning Syrian demonstrators to not “destroy” their country, Los Angeles Times reported.

A former US State Department said Iraq is providing immense support for the Syrian regime in increasing its oil exports, money, trade and official political support.
