Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu declared the Syrian National Coalition representative office will soon be opened in Turkey, adding this office will represent the Syrian people in Turkey.
Following his meeting with Ahmad al-Khatib, Turkey’s top diplomat said Turkey had no doubt from the very beginning in recognizing the new Syrian opposition. Davutoglu also defended the stationing of NATO Patriot surface to air missiles near the Turkey-Syrian border, describing this as a defensive measure and adding Turkey’s border with Syria has been attacked on numerous occasions.
