According to local media, Iraqi tribes have in addition to the city of Fallujah taken control over the city of Garma in the Anbar Province. They have stated that they will protect all public and private property in the city and prevent the entrance of Maliki’s military forces into this city. The tribes wrote in their statement: “Only the Army and SWAT forces are our enemies, if the Army men lay down their weapons we will not fight them”.
Coincidently, the Kuwait News Agency reported that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will visit Iraq on Monday. He will in this trip discuss various issues, including the current situations in Iraq and Syria.
