INTV, 1 Nov 2013 – Coinciding with Maliki’s visit to Washington, in a session held in the National Press Club in Washington, an independent investigative documentary was presented on the massacre of 52 Ashraf residents and the abduction of seven others in the 1 September 2013.
Jared Genser, human rights lawyer and the main author of this report, said our report presents a very clear and simple conclusion – President Obama is inviting a man to the White House who is responsible for crimes against humanity in Iraq two months ago.
It’s not enough for the UN and US to condemn this attack; they must clearly admit to Iraq’s role for the events that have occurred, hold it responsible, and immediately take action for the protection of 3,000 Iranian dissidents in Camp Liberty in Iraq.
This report is based on interview with the 42 people who witnessed the massacre and mass executions in Ashraf, and also based on evidence, pictures, video footages, using Google mappings to confirm the positions of key buildings and where the Iraqi guards were stationed, evaluating various independent news reports and consulting with three former US military commanders in Camp Ashraf who voluntarily helped in preparing this report.
