Following the recent increase in fuel prices, the people’s demands to receive subsidies have increased. This has led Mullah Hassan Rouhani’s plan to a dismal failure, Al Jazeera TV reported.
The Iranian people are witnessing intense increases in fuel prices. This is part of Rouhani’s plan to decrease government expenses because this regime’s economy is facing extreme difficulties in the face of international sanctions. However, Rouhani’s plan in this regard is not going forward very well.
The Iranian regime must pay for much more expenses. The price of the subsidies each month adds up to $1 billion. Currently most of the people have signed up to receive subsidies. Hassan Rouhani sent messages trying to discourage people from receiving subsidies. However, on Wednesday 95% percent of the people said they still need more money.
Due to sanctions by US and Europe against Iran’s nuclear plans, this regime’s economy has suffered a severe blow. Inflation has risen from 9% back in 2010 to 40% last year. One fourth of the people are unemployed and the costs of daily goods skyrocketing. The people will most probably feel the pain with the recent fuel price hikes, saying they are not willing to quit receiving subsidies.
