Haidar al-Mulla: Ghasem Soleimani fully pressured Talibani to prevent vote of no-confidence in Maliki

Aljazeera TV, June 10, 2012 – In an interview with Aljazeera Haidar Mulla, al-Iraqiya spokesman, said: IRGC chief Ghasem Soleimani pressured Talibani fully to prevent completion of signatures for vote of no-confidence in Maliki, but Iraqi national currents still insist on no-confidence vote.
Aljazeera: what was the cause of not being able to obtain enough votes for vote of no-confidence in Maliki?
Haidar al-Mulla: I think today a big development happened and 160 representatives announced their objection to dictatorship and reiterated that they will advance no-confidence vote. The Iranian regime through an IRGC commander Qassem Soleimani fully pressured Talibani and utilized everything at its disposal and Maliki’s and the government of Iraq’s to pressure the representatives and intimidate them, but despite all that the number of votes reached 160 which is a big percentage.
Exerting pressure on Talibani is clear, we have indications but we don’t want to elaborate. “Talibani gathered the signatures from political fractions, he then turned them to Maliki who is the enemy of political fractions and gave him 8 to 9 days so he could threaten and intimidate the representatives. This is a blow to the obligation that the constitution had assigned him. But it is important that despite explicit intervention of the Iranian regime in Iraq and despite intimidations against the parliamentarians, 160 rejected Mliki’s dictatorship and if Talibani is serious about the votes, we can obtain this percentage in less than half an hour.”, al-Mulla added.
In an interview with al-Hurrah, Haidar al-Mulla accentuated:  Today 160 parliamentarians are ever more persistent to end dictatorship in Iraq through vote of no- confidence in Maliki. We believe that State of Law bloc has no seats in eight provinces and half of the parliament rejects Maliki’s agenda and it is better for him to resign, otherwise we will advance no-confidence vote.
