Al Jazeera TV reported with air and ground attacks continuing by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, up to this point dozens more Palestinians have been killed and injured. In the first day of these attacks 48 Palestinians, including 4 children and one 5-month old infant were killed.
Eyewitnesses say most of those killed are women and children. Thus, the number of Palestinians killed to this day is more than 340. According to the Palestine Human Rights Center 80% of those killed are civilians. To this day more than 2,000 Palestinians have been injured and the number of those displaced has increased to 40,000.
