
In fear of the workers’ participation in the big demonstration on the International Labor Day, May 1st, the clerical regime’s judicature system announced headlong that staging any gathering and demonstration or any kind of propaganda against the regime are prohibited and in case it occurs, it would be considered as a political crime and would end to imprisonment and exile.
The state run news agency Fars reported: In a session of supreme judicial officials, chaired by Ayatollah Hashmi Shahroudi, in the continuation of assessment of Islamic punishment law act, the article 4 of this act was discussed regarding the political crime issue and the supreme judicial officials approved cases of political crimes and their punishment as follows :
1- Effective propaganda against the system
2- Holding illegal gatherings or rallies
3- Dissemination of lies or disturbing public opinion through speeches in public places, publishing in the media, distribution of printed papers..
4- Formation or directing illegal groups or cooperation with them
5- Attempt to create or intensify disputes among people in religious, cultural and ethnic issues.
