Iran’s savings accounts are empty, MP says

Mohammad Reza Khan-Mohammadi, deputy chair of the parliament Industry Commission, said, “Currently all of the savings in the country’s banks have depleted, and there must be a solution to resolve all the existing economic problems.”
He added, “The main problem for the country’s industry is worn out technology used by production units.”
Coinciding with this the state-run Jam-e Jam daily wrote, “The Ministry of Health has a budget shortage of 80 trillion rials (equivalent to around $3.27 billion) and there is no hope to decrease the 70% share of the people from hygiene and medical costs in the next year.”
