In an interview with ABC TV, George Bush, the US President, asserted that in encountering the Iranian regime all options are on the table.
He added: My goal is to solve the Iranian problem diplomatically and I think we can, but diplomacy is effective when all options are accessible for President. As the commander in chief, I say all options are on the table.

In his speech at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, Robert Gates, US Defense Secretary, said: Should Iran continue its nuclear ambitions, military attack on Iran would be an alternative. All options should be left open.
