The trip by Syrian National Coalition President Ahmad Jarba to Washington came with major political and military achievements for the Syrian revolution, Orient TV reported.
After their meeting, US President Barack Obama said his country is ready to play a more serious role in ending the Syrian crisis and provide further support for the opposition.
According to informed sources the US has agreed to provide up to $27 million worth of advanced weapons to moderate Syrian rebels, and provide $278 million to resolve the opposition’s financial problems. In this regard the US has obligated itself to provide $1.7 billion worth of humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees in neighboring countries.
