Prominent human rights figure calls for UN protection for Camp Ashraf

President of the Tunisian Center of Human Rights Watch and Syndicate Freedoms issued a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon calling for UN forces and UNAMI to provide protection for Camp Ashraf and prosecute criminals. This letter goes as follows:
“The attack on Ashraf was condemned by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay, and Ms. Pillay demanded a full, transparent and comprehensive investigation into this issue.”
“While approving and supporting Ms. Pillay’s call, we are asking you to carry out the necessary measures in a UN Security Council session to have the protection of Ashraf residents by UN forces discussed and a practical and immediate solution be adopted for the responsibility of providing protection for Ashraf.”
