Egyptian officials neglected mullahs’ pleas to establish relations

Senior Iranian officials have acted as Egypt’s lawyers stating false remarks and providing explanations for Egyptian officials’ actions, state-run Asr Iran reported. This was while Egyptian officials spoke and took actions overtly and covertly, through official and unofficial sources, against the Iranian regime.
This state-run daily pointed out various measures by the Egyptian government against the mullah’s regime, including arresting and expelling an Iranian diplomat spying in Cairo, and denying the regime’s claims about close relations being established by the Egyptian Foreign Minister with the mullahs in the near future.
Asr Iran reported: “Despite careful behavior regarding steps taken by Egyptian officials in foreign affairs on Tehran, in Iran we are witnessing officials acting very desperate and out of normal trends of in regards to Egypt. For example, while Egypt has yet to agree with establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries and heightening it to embassy-level, our politicians are talking about forming a union amongst the three countries of Turkey, Iran and Egypt …”
