
Denmark along with other EU member states is following on the issue of Camp Ashraf as a part of general efforts to promote respect for human rights, the Danish government said in response to a question raised in the country’s parliament about Ashraf.
In EU’s talks with the Iraqi government it has been emphasized that Ashraf residents must be treated according to Iraq’s commitment to related international conventions and the fact that Iraqi officials must avoid taking any kind of measures making conditions worse for residents of the camp.
Danish officials on behalf their government have in numerous occasions discussed with the Iraqi government regarding Camp Ashraf, stressing on this issue to make sure the civilians of this camp are treated according to international conventions.
