Iran uses billions of dollars from sanction’s relief for terrorism

American official have insisted that tens of billions of dollars released to the Iranian regime following the lifting of nuclear related sanction would be spent to improve Iran’s economy and social welfare, even though some ’might’ be used for illicit purposes including funding terrorism and etc. But the facts on the ground tell a different story.
Since the sealing of the historic nuclear pact between Iran and the six world power late last year, and the consecutive release of frozen funds to Iran regime, the money has been used for illicit operations such as terrorist activities including propping up Hezbollah’s weapons capability, or sending weapons to the Houthis in Yemen and to expanding its transborder operations to Afghanistan and Pakistan region.
The money that was meant to be used for improving the country’s economy and enhancing the worn out infrastructure, has instead been used to purchase sophisticate weapons, shipping missiles to Hezbollah and Housthis and suppressing the Iranian people. Measures that has driven thousands of workers, students and activists to protest and demand their rights.
More than 350 protests and rallies took place during only the first 3 months of this year which shows an increase compared to the same period last year.
