Iran: youths clash with state security & Bassij in Karaj, Ahvaz

On Tuesday, July 14th Iranian youths in the cities of Ahvaz and Karaj poured into the streets to express their joy after Khamenei was forced to cross all his red lines and give in to the nuclear agreement. However, when Bassij and security agents sought to prevent them it lead to some serious clashes.
In Ahvaz youths clashed with state agents and severely beat a Bassij member, sending directly to a hospital while his transmitter was confiscated by the youths.
In Karaj, west of Tehran, at 10 pm on Tuesday night state security forces in Bustan sought to prevent any gatherings by the youths to express their joy. According to eyewitnesses state agents attacked the people with batons and intended to disperse the crowd. This led to major clashes between the youths and the regime’s agents and reports indicate the regime’s agents were forced to flee the scene.

On Wednesday night, July 15th hundreds of youths in Tabriz were expressing similar joy and chanting anti-regime slogans, saying before and after the agreement nothing has changed or will change, other than rises in inflation and more skyrocketing prices.
Bassij and other security agents didn’t dare get anywhere close to these protests and sought to prevent the protests from spreading.
It is worth noting that youths in Tabriz have staged numerous anti-regime rallies in the past few days.
