Iranian Resistance strongly condemns brutal assassination of Saeed Karimian, the director of Jam TV network, and his colleague in Istanbul that was carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) upon the orders of Khamenei one the very day named as “Pasdar Day[IRGC day]”. It also demands legal prosecution and punishment of those responsible for the crime, and placing IRGC on terrorist lists.
On the eve of its sham presidential elections and with the escalation of internal power struggle, the mullahs’ regime is in more need of internal repression and resorting to such inhuman crimes than ever.
It is worth noting that by broadcasting false news and biographies about Saeed Karimian since a while ago, the mullahs’ intelligence service and IRGC have been setting the stage for his assassination and attributing it to the PMOI. Right after the assassination, FARS and Tasnim news agencies affiliated to the IRGC and Quds Force as well as MOIS websites rebroadcasted the same fabrications in a pre-organized manner.
Through a series of lies and forging photos and films, the IRGC and MOIS claimed that Saeed Karimian collaborated with the PMOI, was raised in Camp Ashraf, and his father was among the martyrs of ‘Eternal Light’ great operation and had taken all his family members to Camp Ashraf secretly. None of these issues were real and were just sheer lies that had been previously denied by Saeed Karimian, including on 29 November 2012.
Montaging Karimian’s photo with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi in the Belgian Senate on 27 March 2013 in which the image of Mr. Gérard Deprez with his image is another dirty trick by the mullahs’ IRGC. Both photos are attached for comparison.
