NCRI, 17 Sep 2013 – The Iranian regime officials have looted tens of thousands of historical books and documents from the regime’s Cultural Heritage Organization, a former employee has claimed.
The source from the organization said 47,000 items went missing while they were being transferred to city of Shiraz.
He also told the state-run Hamshahri newspaper that machines for re-working films and photographic negatives had also vanished.
Meanwhile, a member of the state’s Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs has also revealed embezzlement and financial fraud of many directors at the institution.
Research committee member Iman Abadi told a state-run website on August 26 anyone found to have stolen from the institution would face trial.
He added: “We have unfortunately found proof of the involvement of many of the high ranking directors and managers of this institution.”
