INTV, 14 Oct 2013 – Iraqi scholars and tribal sheikhs in Samarra held Maliki’s government responsible for the recent bombings in this city, issuing a statement accusing the city’s security commanders for the attacks.
They demanded local police personnel to return to the streets, going on to threaten a general strike if their demands are not met in 15 days.
