In an article on Nouri Maliki, the Asharq al-Awsat International daily wrote: Maliki is angry because his deputy has dubbed him a dictator. He has unprecedented authority: being the prime minister, minister of interior and national security, and head of the intelligence organization.
As a result, Maliki is the person who files the accusations, implements the verdicts, makes the arrests and places the individual in jail. Maliki is a true dictator and he is causing problems for Iraq’s entire political spectrum.
