In a press statement, The Conference of Ahal Al-Iraq headed by Dr. Adnan al-Dulaimi, welcomed the terrorist designation and imposing sanctions on the Qods Force and Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and stressed on necessity of purge of whole Iraq of the Qods Force’s agents whose hands are smeary with Iraqis’ blood.

This statement reads: After a long delay the U.S. Administration designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp of Iran and its arm, the Qods force, as terrorist organizations. The nuclear issue and the meddling in Iraq prompted the United States to impose a set of financial sanctions against the IRGC and relations with it. This U.S. decision is a testimony to what we have been saying and crying about Iranian regime’s interferences in Iraq. The interferences which have not been limited to only destruction and elimination of national and historic identity of Iraq and its people but it has been extended to the spread of death squads and group murders and to inflaming the violence and physical elimination of Iraqi citizens. Such destructions are committed by agents of so called Qods Force and its local affiliated elements.

The new U.S. move if not followed by practical measures in Iraq, would be of no sense for us. Because the U.S. presence in Iraq is of grave influential gravity among our people to conduct Iraqi government and its behavior, including political interactions, bearing in mind ‘relative independent position of the government’ that United States can not bypass it for known reasons no need to be restated.
