In an interview with Rafidain TV, Sheikh Kadhim Abdulwahed al-Anizan, head of the Southern Iraqi Tribal Council, warned of Iran’s dangerous planned meddling in Iraq;

He said: Since Iraq’s occupation, the Iranian regime acts against the Iraqi people who are commited to their Arabic identity, by supporting its agents militarily, financially and morally.

Sheikh Kadhim al-Anizan added: The duty of the Southern Iraqi Tribal Council is to guard the Iraq’s Arabic identity, realization of national unity for territorial integrity and prevention of the country’s division.

He said that the southern council would coordinate with Arabic tribes in northern, central and western Iraq for measures to protect territorial integrity and to confront the plots threatening its unity.
