Ahmad al-Alwani, Chairman of the Iraqi Parliament Economy Commission and a member of the Iraqiya Coalition described Nouri Maliki’s government as despotic and said the Iraqiya Coalition must suffer the consequences of defeat if it chooses to remain in this government.
Al-Alwani called on the Iraqiya Coalition to pullout from a government that has failed to provide services and does not abide by the principles of national participation. The Iraqiya Coalition departing this government is better off than remaining in it and this is because of the obligation it has to its voters.
