In an interview with Al-Watan daily, published in Kuwait, Ismail Waeli, brother of Basra governor revealed new details on the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq and stealing its oil resources.

Ismail Waeli said: The Iranian regime steals Iraqi oil; that is why I ask the international investigation committee to investigate on oil stealing in Basra and Maysan. The Iranian regime encroaches on the oilfields of Tib, Fakka and part of Majnoun and plunders them; close to 250,000 barrels a day worth of $750,000,000 per month. This secret information is obtained from some of the petroleum department staff. Hussein Shahrestani, Iraqi oil minister, who is Iran-originated, has not denied this information.
