Iran, Tehran, March 18, 2018 – A group of political prisoners and prisoners of conscious from different wards of the notorious Evin, Gohardasht and the Greater Tehran Prisons have issued a joint statement protesting the tight political atmosphere and lack of basic rights of prisoners.
The statement says “We the political prisoners in Evin, Gohardasht and the Greater Tehran Prisons will go on Huger stick for 3 days starting on Sunday, March 18.”
While congratulating fellow Iranian people on the Persian New Year (Nowruz) they added: “We, mort than ever, hope that the new year would be a rich and successful year and would bring freedom, justice and welfare to all people.”
