Norwegian FM stresses on utter importance of correctly, humanely resolving situation of Ashraf residents

At a parliamentary session in Oslo, Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere stressed on the utter importance of reaching a correct and humanitarian solution for the issue of Ashraf residents.
A member of the Norwegian Parliament at this session questioned the country’s top diplomat by asking: “Is the Foreign Minister assuring that international pressure is being exerted by Norway to make sure of a situation along with dignity and humanitarian conditions will continue for Iranian refugees in Camp Ashraf residents?”
In response to this question, Stoere emphasized: “While reiterating my responses to parliamentary questions raised on October 5th and November 8th, 2011 regarding this case, I emphasize that Norway is in continuous contact with Iraqi officials and UN representatives stressing on the utter importance of reaching a correct and humanitarian solution for the issue of Ashraf residents. We will continue to follow up on this matter until a lasting solution is established.”
The Norwegian Foreign Minister welcomed the agreement between the UN and the Iraqi government, the deadline being annulled and accepting permanent UN monitoring for Ashraf residents’ conditions, describing these measures as considerable advances in this case.
