Another group of supporters of the prisoner of conscious, Mohammad Ali Taheri in a village near Tehran have joined other activists and launched a hunger strike protesting his illegal detention,.
19 days after Professor Taheri’s hunger strike and 11 days after he was scheduled to be released from prison, the number of people going on hunger strike and expressing their solidarity with this political prisoner is increasing.
“Imamzadeh Ali Akbar” in Tehran’s Chizar district is another site where Taheri supporters have been protesting and on hunger strike since February 17th, and demanded his immediate and unconditional release.
Prior to this last week protesters expressed solidarity with Taheri and went on hunger strike in the cities of Mashhad, Shiraz, Gorgan and a few districts in Tehran and Shahr-e Rey.
