Iran judiciary summons members of a music band to court

Two members of a metal rock music band were arrested three months ago by the Intelligence agents from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). Neekan Khosravi and Arash Ilkhani are two members of the “confess” group who were arrested on 10 November 2015 and were released on a 1 billion rial bail (around $29,000) after spending around three months under interrogation and time in solitary confinement of ward 2A that is controlled by the IRGC.
Due to their work the members of this group faced charges such as “propaganda against the state” and “insulting the sanctities.” These charges were raised based on actions such as “forming underground music groups, illegal recording and broadcasting of rock and heavy metal music,” “writing anarchy lyrics” and “giving an interview with a foreign radio station.”
Neekan Khosravi, 23, singer and musician, and Arash Ilkhani, 21, the DJ of the “confess” group, are currently waiting for their court dates to be specified.
