al-Mashreq daily, Iraq, 23 May 2011 – Security experts in Iraq warn of an escalation in terror attacks with silencer-equipped weapons in days to come.

“Iraq’s security institutions are under the influence of neighboring countries,” security expert Safi al-Yasseri said. “And a number of countries supply these groups with silencer-equipped weapons.”

“In my opinion, it is crystal clear that these groups are backed and supported by the Iranian regime,” al-Yasseri said.
