According to Al-Hurra TV, Rear Admiral Patrick Driscoll, MNF-I spokesman, said that the Iranian regime continues its support for the special groups that have been trained in Iran and are returning to Iraq for terrorist operations. He added that they had prevented returning of some of Iran-affiliated groups that return to Iraq for terrorist operation.

Al-Hurra TV added: The MNF-I officials attribute the rise in recent days’ violence across Iraq to the special groups that some of their elements have returned to Iraq after receiving training and support from the Iranian regime.
