Following the continuous trend of increasing tensions inside the clerical regime, state-run media in Iran reported of further arrests involved with the case of former Iran president Rafsanjani’s son.
“Two months after Mehdi Hashemi’s arrest, his case enters new phases each day,” the state-run Tabnak website reported citing an informed source.
“The arrests of these individuals have placed Hashemi’s case into a new chapter. These individuals have very important, sensitive and detailed information on Mehdi Hashemi’s activities. The possibility of more arrests taking place in relations to this case increases by the moment,” Tabnak added.
