In a special interview with al-Hadath News Agency, Iraqiya slate MP Hamed al-Mutlak said that the Iranian regime tried to encroach not only upon Iraq but also Syria and the main operative of the slaughter and destruction going on in Syria was the Iranian regime. This regime should understand the consequences of its measures and stop such acts. Since the Iranian regime is involved in planning and scheduling whatever is currently going on in the region, it should distance itself from Iraqis and Arab people.
Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq aimed at occupying this country along with its Iraqi like-minded people who have sold their conscience to this regime has reached Iraq to this point. Al-Mutlak pointed out that Iraq is now weak, under pressure, lack of public services and pervasive corruption, hence the Iraqis should be alert not to harm their country to the benefit of Iranian regime.
He said that we were not at enmity with Iran but we didn’t want this regime to meddle in our internal affairs. ’We do not want to be instruments against our own people, we want Iranian regime out of our territory and do nor encroach upon Iraqi and Arab affairs’, says Mr. Mulak.
He reiterated Ahmadinejad is not welcome by Iraqis, because they have suffered so much. Many Iraqis feel that there is a flagrant meddling in Iraq’s political decision-making process by Iran which is not at all to its benefit.
