Iran, On Sunday, March 11, 2018, cities of Tehran, Abadan, Rasht, Khorram Abad and Mashhad witnessed protest and strike of various strata in Iran.
In Tehran, employees of the Zamyad commercial vehicle manufacturing company gathered in front of the company on the eve of the Persian New Year, demanding their overdue wages.

In Tehran, a group of Edalat Corporative Share Company employees protested their employment statue being on limbo and also against their unpaid wages.

Abadan’s Municipality workers gathered in protest against their nine-month overdue wages.

The protesters raised a banner showing their demands: “We the hard working laborers of Abadan’s municipality, raise our complaint against the municipality for depriving us of 9 months of salary and 4 years of insurance

The green city of Rasht opened its eyes to the second day of the strike held by the workers of Iran Puplin. While it is now less than ten days away from the Persian New Year, the workers have been denied three months of wages. 

In Khoram Abad, western Iran, laid off employees of Melal Credit Institution protested in front of branches of the institution. They protested against being laid off, their unpaid salaries and the bonus for the Persian calendar New Year.

 In Mashhad, a group of industrial construction builders held a rally protesting the multiple increase of social security fees. “Welcome to the mourning of construction industry; we cannot keep on going like this”, they wrote on a banner.
