Germany Bans All Arms Exports to Iran

The German parliament Bundestag on Thursday, August 30, approved a legislation which bans all arms exports to Iran. The legislation, which was an unprecedented one in European parliaments, came after the request propounded by the European Union in April, 2007.

After the resolution 1747 was approved by the U.N. Security Council in March 24, the European Union took another step in adopting resolution and in April 2007 announced due to Iranian regime’s insistence to carry on its nuclear program, the EU countries must ban any arms deal with Iran.
