INTV, 7 Nov 2013 – Iraqi Mufti Sheikh Rafe al-Refaei issued a press release announcing, “The attack on Camp Ashraf and abduction of seven residents, including six women, is despicable conduct that tarnishes our image as the Iraqi people in international circles.”
“The PMOI in Iraq are refugees and their security and human rights must be guaranteed. However, the Iraqi government has unfortunately allied with Iran to attack all devoted people, Iraqi or Iranians,” he said.
“All international organizations and especially the UN and human rights organizations, whose voices are heard and can stop cruelty, must play their role. Otherwise the law of the jungle will rule in Iraq and no humane value will remain. We have called on God Almighty for perseverance for our people against cruelty,” the Iraqi Mufti added.
