Swiss prosecutor to issue warrant for Maliki on charges of torture, human rights violations

Al-Raifdain TV reported citing judicial sources saying the Swiss prosecutor’s office is on the verge of issuing an arrest warrant for Nouri Maliki on charges of torturing Iraqis and human rights violations.
“Three years ago, Maliki and his guards attacked me,” said Montazer al-Zeidi, President of the Al-Zeidi Charity Foundation. “I filed a complaint in Iraq, but it appears that the Iraqi judicial system does not care about such cases. Therefore, I took the case of Maliki’s attack against me to the Swiss court and the lawyer was able to get this ruling and in the next few days the Swiss court will provide its verdict calling on Maliki to appear in court. Maliki is on top of the list of the suspects who were involved in torturing me.”
