According to sources from Jahrom University, more than 300 students on Tuesday November 25th rallied in the campus protesting the cafeteria food poisoning of more than 50 students. In an act of defiance, the students set their food plates on the campus ground to show that they are refraining from eating unsafe food.

The protesters braved heavy rain and continued with their protest demanding an explanation from the authorities as to why 50 students got sick due to food poisoning. They said University authorities’ lack of controlling and managing the simple thing of food which has endangered the lives of so many students is unacceptable and those responsible must answer. One student was holding a placard reading “the December 7th student day is near”.
