David Foley, spokesman for the State Department’s Near East Affairs Bureau, underscored the role of Iranian Resistance in revelation of the Iranian regime’s secret nuclear program and said: “In 2002, the Iranian regime’s opposition revealed the Iranian regime’s nuclear program and said that this regime pursues measures against the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).”
Regarding the US National Intelligence Estimate report, he added: It is clear that the Iranian regime is taking steps toward acquiring nuclear technology with an excessive effort in order to produce nuclear weapons and is pursuing it now by enriching uranium.
Foley said: Logic demands that we exert pressure on the Iranian regimen as before, because not only the U.S. but all the world’s countries are unanimous that this regime must respond to the world community. The Iranian regime can’t continue its activities with deception, what it has done in the last 18 years.
Foley added: What is clear is that continuing pressures and imposing the third round of sanctions on that regime will be going on.
He said: The Iranian regime enriches Uranium and has ballistic missiles; therefore, it doesn’t seem that the US Intelligence Community report would lead to a change in the Iranian regime’s behavior.
