
INTV, 3 Oct 2013 – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, in her trip to Strasbourg paid her respects at the resting place of the late Adrien Zeller, chair of the Alsace region in France. Adrien Zeller was a strong supporter of the Iranian Resistance, especially during the 17 June 2003 coupe d’état against the Iranian Resistance.
The Dernieres Nouvelles D’alsace daily published a report on October 2nd titled, “Maryam Rajavi commemorates the memory of Adrien Zeller”.
This newspaper wrote: “Maryam Rajavi placed a wreath at the resting place of Adrien Zeller who ‘was a long supporter of freedom for the Iranian people. Maryam Rajavi paid her respects for very long minutes at Adrien Zeller’s tombstone.
“The Iranian Resistance President-elect, during her visit to Strasbourg to take part in the sessions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for the release of seven Iranian dissident hostages in Iraq following the massacre in Camp Ashraf on September 1, sought to pay her respects to the late chair of Alsace, who passed away in 2009, for his commitment to defending the Iranian people against the ruling repressive regime.
“She said she knew Adrien Zeller from thirty years ago as a dignitary ‘representing the values of the Republic of France’ and ‘a prominent dignitary in France who always supported our Resistance during these years’”.
