In an interview with Al-Arabiya TV, leader of Iraqi Awakening Councils, Ahmad Abu Risha, said: It is quite clear that the Iranian regime meddles in Iraqi affairs; this regime does not let Iraq be stabilized and democracy be formed.

Responding to the question whether they were not afraid of the Iranian regime’s intervention after quick withdrawal of the US forces from Iraq, he replied: “We are not afraid, but we are concerned; we need the security agreement (US-Iraqi pact) and strategic alliance with the United States.
